Finest Deal with After-Hours 'Mob'
A graduation party at the Parkville Athletic Complex (PAC) that extended into the early morning hours ended in four arrests after Parkville police responded to reports of an assault.
At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, police were called to the scene after an alleged assault occurred on a female reveler. According to police, more than 150 people aged 18 to 25 were in the PAC parking lot, and alcohol was observed on the premises.
Police located the victim, who was described as having “obvious patches of her hair ripped out,” and she identified one of the female suspects. Police officers proceeded to arrest the suspect, who resisted and was taken to the ground. Once on the ground she claimed she was six months pregnant. Police said that a male from the crowd then attacked the officers, kicking one of them in the ribs. The two officers let go of the female suspect and arrested the male as well.
The two officers called for back-up, and officers from Weatherby Lake, Riverside, Northmoor, and other areas, came to their aid.
The male suspect later claimed to be injured and was sent to the hospital for medical evaluation. The female suspect claiming to be pregnant also was sent to the hospital, via ambulance. There is no word on their conditions at this time. Two other suspects were taken to jail but, according to police, are now free on bond.
Parkville Police Chief Hudson said responding officers did a good job dispersing the mob from the PAC parking lot and clearing the roads of traffic.
