Breckon Files for Vacated Board Seat
The Park Hill Board of Education met on Friday, August 22 to discuss the newly vacated position on the board. Mike Otto resigned his post on August 1 after accepting a job in another school district.
Eighteen people, including former Park University president Don Breckon, have applied for the post. The board decided to start a sub-committee which will narrow the list of applicants to determine which ones will be interviewed by the entire Board.

In other news, The Park Hill Board of Education is a nominee for the Missouri School Boards’ Association 2008 Outstanding Board of Education award. The Board was selected as a nominee for its “commitment to ongoing professional development and high student achievement.” The Board now has the opportunity to become a finalist for the award.
