The Platte County Fair wants to display your talent.
Artists, artisans, photographers, bakers and other talented folks are invited to enter in any of the 75 categories with as many as three entries per category. Ribbons will be awarded to first through fifth place winners. First place and second place winners will also receive $5(first) or $2(second) in prize money at the timework is reclaimed.
There is an $8 entry (one fee.) Those exhibitors entering at least three entries will receive a season pass to the fair. No fees or passes apply to junior aged exhibitors. Entries will be received on Sunday July 15 between noon and 4:00 p.m. in the Floral Hall Building on the Platte County Fairgrounds just outside Platte City (minutes north of KCI). Each exhibitor must enter his or her own items, unless receiving prior approval from the committee. Exhibits are required to be reclaimed on July 22 between noon and 3:00 p.m.

Divisions: Seniors (age 65 and over); Adult (20 to 64 years of age); Teens (ages 13 to 19); Juniors (ages 12 and under).

Flowers/Garden Décor – fresh/artificial flowers; birdhouses/garden accessories
Photography-black & white or color –remember, you can enter your favorite photo of a past Platte County Fair or Platte County places of the past and present or digitally enhanced photos (No sculptured photos.)
Sewing-cross stitch; crocheting; embroidery/crewel; knitting; needlepoint; doll clothing; cloth toys; decorated clothing; quilting; tied comforters; rug making- more
Vegetable Tray-at least three homegrown items
-Closed judging and judge’s decision is final
-All items must be work of the exhibitor
-All exhibits must remain on display throughout duration of the fair
-The Fair Association assumes no responsibility for item loss or damage
-An exhibitor may enter as many categories as chooses, but only three items per category
-Items for exhibit cannot exceed five years of age, except in antique class category
-All hanging items must be equipped with hooks for hanging (including artwork and photography)
Floral Hall will be open to view the exhibits from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., July 18 through the 20 and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. July 21.
