Thanks for your support for our last episode of The Parkville Luminary. While it's true, the newspaper business has changed over the years, demand for the product remains strong and will continue to do so well into the future. But what about The Luminary? Here's a few answers to the latest round of F.A.Qs:
1. The Parkville Luminary's "Special Episode" will still remain in its last few remaining racks through the end of this week. Already our best selling and largest issue ever, the features contained in that episode are still relevant and interesting even post-election;
2. The Parkville Luminary will return several weeks before each major election, essentially turning the newspaper into a quarterly periodical. It will remain a broadsheet and retain the same look and feel as the Luminary but with extra emphasis placed on investigative reporting;
3. Starting this week, ParkvilleLuminary.com will be updated on a daily basis. It will feature original news reporting, news in the "raw" and serve as a aggregate in the vein of a Huffington Post or Drudge Report (but better) and a heavier multi-media approach. In addition we will be introducing new features better suited to covering the Parkville area as it stands -- in particular a closer look at City Hall and the activities of our new mayor;
4. The Parkville Luminary will be available in Amazon's Kindle marketplace for 99 cents per month, subject their final approval. For those that do not own a Kindle, Amazon offers a free Kindle app in the iTunes and Android marketplaces respectively.
We've never been lacking for ideas at Senator Publishing and The Parkville Luminary. Tune in every day...you never know what you might run into. Also, why not take part yourself? We've always prided ourselves for opening the pages of this newspaper to the public, and if you've got moxy and great ideas, bring them on board. Opportunities abound.
Again, thanks for reading. It has always been our pleasure to serve you.
