Today [January 31] David Cox announces that he will seek the office of Platte County Assessor.
“I am running for Platte County Assessor to ensure our taxpayer property valuations are calculated in an objective and equitable fashion that reflects the current ‘fair market value’. Additionally, I will work to make the assessment process more transparent and efficient.”
Cox is currently an active real estate broker salesman. He is also an experienced money manager and mortgage loan officer. His knowledge of area real estate will be a major asset to him in the Assessor position. He is presently completing his one-year term as a member of the Park Hill Board of Education and is very proud of the cost savings initiatives instituted during his tenure.
Cox and his wife Jacque have been married 31 years and have raised their three children in Platte County. They are members of the St. Therese Catholic Church.
