This afternoon the Platte County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force (PCMEG -Platte County Multi-Jurisdictional Enforcement Group), executed a search warrant on a suspected methamphetamine lab in the 400 block of Vine Street in Platte City with the assistance of the Kansas City Police Department Street Narcotics Unit, Platte City Police Department and Metro Meth Task Force.
Central Platte Fire Department and the Northland Regional Ambulance District (NRAD) were also present as a safety precaution. Four individuals were taken into custody as a result of the search warrant and suspect narcotics and narcotics equipment was taken from the residence.
Two other narcotics related search warrants have been served in Platte City by the Platte County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Platte City Police Department since Wednesday morning. A total of seven people have been taken into custody as a result of these investigations.
