Reports of more water in the roadways and levee seepage from the Bean Lake. The levee district is currently reinforcing the levee with sandbags. Moore’s Ferry road in southern Platte County has small amounts of water over the road way. Pumps are being used to keep the water in the ditches in order to keep the road open.
The Missouri river gauges at Plattsmouth, Missouri and Brownsville, Missouri have gone slightly above major flood stage due to rainfall but are forecasted to gradually decrease below major flood stage over the next few days. The river gauge at Rulo, Missouri is approaching record flood stage. There was some minor flooding on the North Platte where they received 3” to 6” of rain. There were no significant impacts. At this time the Army Corp of Engineers is advising there is no change in the amount of water being released from the Gavins Point damn and that it remains at 150,000 cubic feet per second.
