At this time water levels are not projected to breach the Missouri River banks south of downtown, and are not projected to flood any areas north of McAfee Street. As such, no commercial or residential structures in downtown Parkville are currently projected to flood. However, current forecasts are subject to change. NOAA’s forecasts take into account past precipitation and the precipitation amounts expected approximately 24 hours into the future from forecasts issuance times. The City’s emergency management officer and staff continue to monitor water levels and forecasts and will make additional announcements as necessary.
